Nicolas Ferry

I am a full-time senior researcher at SINTEF Digital in the SIS group. My topics of research are the following: model-based systems, models@runtime, dynamic adaptation, IoT, and cloud computing.

Previously, I was a demi-ATER at IUT of Nice with teachings in ASR sectors for traditional IUT and Professional License.

My research activities at the I3S Lab (Sophia-Antipolis) in the Rainbow Team focused in the field of ubiquitous computing. During my thesis, I studied the problem of: Dynamic adaptations to context in ubiquitous computing: logical and temporals properties. It was funded by the PACA (Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur) region and the CSTB (Scientific and technical center for buildings) under the supervision of Stéphane Lavirotte and Michel Riveill. I defended my thesis on 07-12-11 and the jury was composed of:

  • President: Pascal Estrailler, professor at University of La Rochelle
  • Rapporteur: Yves Denneulin, professor at INPG Grenoble
  • Rapporteur: Philippe Roose, assistant professor (HDR) at IUT de Bayonne
  • Examinateur: Jean-Michel Bruel, professor at University of Toulouse
